At Westland FMC, we are uniting with Jesus to restore lives to joy-filled wholeness. We are all at different places in our journey to fully experiencing this life that Jesus offers. So whether you are someone who is searching for this joy-filled whole life, or someone who is well on their way to experiencing this life that Jesus offers, WFMC is a place where we are helping one another take each of our next steps to experiencing this joy-filled, whole life of following Jesus.
As we are uniting with Jesus to restore lives to joy-filled wholeness, these are our foundational commitments. We are:
- Led by the Spirit – Romans 8:14; John 4:24; Galatians 5:24-25
- Demonstrated by personal and corporate, Spirit-filled prayer & praise
- Demonstrated by surrendering our preferences & comfort to the Holy Spirit’s leading
- Rooted in the Word – Psalm 1:2-3; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:22
- Demonstrated by teaching, studying, and applying Scripture together
- Demonstrated by each person daily immersed in, and living out God’s Word
- Mobilized for the Mission – Ephesians 4:11-13; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Acts 1:8
- Demonstrated by each believer being empowered to utilize their giftings
- Demonstrated by each believer engaging people for God’s Kingdom where they live, learn, work, and play
- Committed to our Neighbors – Mark 12:30-31; Matthew 9:35-39; Romans 15:2
- Demonstrated by active involvement in local schools, businesses, civic organizations, community centers, with the goal of making Jesus known
- Demonstrated by sharing our resources with community groups
- Bonded through Holy Friendship – John 13:34-35; Colossians 3:12-14; Matthew 7:5b
- Demonstrated by sincerely helping to carry each other’s burdens
- Demonstrated by genuinely investing in all people and walking alongside them in the family of God
We gather every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM to continue pursuing Jesus together. We'd love to have you join us.
