In the coming weeks, we’re going to take a look at a few of those examples and the principles behind them. We believe as we do that, God will show us how to maximize our faithfulness and multiply our potential blessings! Can’t wait to explore His word together!
LOOKING BACK:
- We had a great turnout for Football Sunday. The stories of faith in the morning were inspiring, and the party was a great time. Congrats to Candice Compton on taking home the trophy for best chili! Thanks to everyone who helped make it a great night.
- Pizza and Trivia was a blast, congrats to the “ColeBrooks” on the W!
- We had around 40 people go to Faith and Family night at Little Caesars to watch the Piston’s take on the Clippers. We got to hear testimonies from 3 Piston’s players who are Christians after the game. We also got to go on the court to take one shot each. Congrats to Chris, Gavin, Malcolm, and Beth who all sank their shots!
- Several Anchor students and parents went to Winter Jam and watched many amazing bands glorify God through their music and testimonies. They also got to meet the Newsboys afterwards!
- At our February meeting, our leadership team decided to send $5480 from our savings, plus our two additional principle payments we budgeted (over $1126) to pay down some principle on our roof loan. This will knock off almost two years of payments and save us nearly $4800 in interest! This is our only debt as a congregation and is now down to around $48K. Praise God!!! Thanks for making this possible with your generosity!
We’ve entered phase 2 in our bathroom renovations. The tiles have been removed in both bathrooms. We are getting updated quotes on the stall partitions, ceiling work, fixtures, etc. We will also be looking at trying to finalize tile options in the next 1-2 weeks. Our goal will be to work on the women’s first and to have the toilets operational as we go. Please excuse the mess as we work on these upgrades. Thanks for making it possible with your time and gifts.
Opportunities will be advertised in March to serve at Schweitzer Elementary.
We are also taking steps behind the scenes to get closer to starting up initiatives at Biggby and Jefferson Barnes. You’ll be hearing some updates in the coming weeks.
